Man wounded in shooting outside the convenience store

A man was in serious condition Friday night after being shot outside a convenience store in northwestern Las Vegas, said Metro Police.

The shooting occurred about 10: 15 p.m. outside a 7-Eleven store on 870 n. Rainbow Blvd. near Washington Avenue, said police.

The man was shot once in the hand and was transported to University Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries, said Lt. Dan McGrath.

McGrath said investigators believe the shooting may be gang-related. No suspects were in custody, he said.

Witnesses gave only a vague description of the shooter and the investigator may determine if the shooting was captured by the store's surveillance cameras, McGrath said.

Two arrested in fatal bus stop shooting teen girl

Two people were arrested Friday as part of an investigation of a bus stop shooting which killed a teenager girl last month.

One of the suspects is a minor whose identity was not released. The other was identified as 18-year-old Christian Shannon in Las Vegas.

Both were arrested on the number of murder with a deadly weapon, two cases of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, two cases of battery with a deadly weapon, a conspiracy to commit murder and discharging a firearm in an occupied structure.

Police said earlier that the two teen boys shot at two other teenagers at a bus stop 15 may at Bonanza Road, near Eastern Avenue.

One of the victims, 16 years old Randii Lennett Morrow, died at the University Medical Center.

During shooting, a bullet entered a nearby apartment and meet with a TV, create flying debris that injured another boy, police said. He was treated at the scene of medical personnel.
