Fire officials said smoking materials or a candle may have been the cause of a Friday afternoon house fire.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue was called at 12: 43 in the House at 4412 Alta Drive, near the meadows Mall. Nobody was at home when firefighters arrived in single-story house, which had smoke coming from it, so they forced themselves inside.

Firefighters found the fire in the kitchen and could quickly extinguish a fire.

Fire damage was limited to the kitchen, but the rest of the House had damage to the smoke and heat, officials said.

Fire investigators is a significant amount of material to smoking and a candle on or near the kitchen table, where the fire appeared to have begun.

No one was injured. Officials release not a damage estimate.
