A no-frills introduction to the local burlesque scene from Las Vegas weekly

Las Vegas weekly: Burlesque edition

This year the country's best burlesque performer Athabasca River to a goat farm in Helendale, California, where they would dance poolside among friends in the desert sun. Tasseled reunification, its boas, G-strings and elaborate hairdos in the annual Miss exotic world Pageant, where legends were honoured and new dancers are exploited to the underground community of modern burlesque.

Then came the moving trucks, the new digs, the bright lights. Miss exotic world is headed to Las Vegas, where it is now in its sixth year and where the burlesque Hall of Fame weekend has exploded into a four-day shock, and grind festival with earlier and contemporary artists, contests, showcases, awards and honours, master classes, pinup photo shots and lots of vintage cars kitsch.
