Obama is not lead fuel, he

Robert Gardner, HendersonSaturday, June 25, 2011 | at 2: 03

With 17 months until the next presidential election is the fuel already in full force. As President Barack Obama's approval rating tanks, more than 60 percent of Americans believe we are headed in the wrong direction, 80 percent believe the economy is bad, and after spending nearly $ 1 trillion on stimulus, unemployment is still over 9 percent. He should feel a little insecure about his job security.

But the number of frightens him above all? Fewer than 50 percent believe that he deserves re-election. What is Obama doing? Do not wait until next year, pull out all the stops now.

Like the war in Afghanistan? Not to worry: he will remove 33,000 troops by next September against – I might add — of their military commander. Gasoline at $ 3.60 per gallon? Not to worry: he will release 60 million barrels of strategic oil reserve. His approval rating among Hispanics drops, again if you don't want to worry about, he and his cohorts once again bringing up democratic Dream Act. Do we change the definition of marriage to same-sex marriages? Not to worry: Obama is developed on the subject.

If I were even remotely thinking about voting for him, I would warn him: do not get too big a hurry with freebies, you may deplete your arsenal too early.

Oh, one last thing, instead of calling him Commander in Chief, perhaps we should be calling him Commander-in-Chief panderer.
